This October, Glossonauts joined forces with the Hellenic American Project and the Society of Greek Writers in America, led by Professor Nikos Alexiou of Queens College, New York, for a series of cultural events in Greece.
At the heart of this collaboration were two works by Greek-American author Kostas (Dean) Evkarpidis: the play The Trial (Η Δίκη) and the poetry collection Between Two Stations (Ανάμεσα σε δύο σταθμούς). Through theatre, poetry and music, the events explored themes of migration, memory, identity and the relationship between Greece and the Greek Diaspora.
Building bridges through language and culture
Professor Nikos Alexiou highlighted the importance of strengthening cultural connections between Greece and Greek communities abroad, particularly for younger generations. His message closely reflects the mission of Glossonauts: language is more than something we learn—it connects us with people, stories and culture.
For Glossonauts, this collaboration represents an opportunity to bring our international community closer to contemporary Greek literature and to create new connections between Greek speakers and learners around the world.
When literature meets music

The events combined readings from The Trial and Between Two Stations with live music. Konstantinos Vlachos from Glossonauts, on guitar, and Anna Fratzola, on vocals, accompanied the performances, bringing another dimension to the words of Kostas Evkarpidis.

The collaboration between Glossonauts, Professor Nikos Alexiou and the Hellenic American Project is part of a shared effort to keep the Greek language and culture alive beyond geographical borders.
From Greece to New York and beyond, Greek continues to connect people, generations and stories.
